Hi! I'm Angeline Abrera, a Houston, Texas based Unit Stills Photographer. I graduated from the University of Houston where I earned a B.A. in Media Production, B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, with a minor in Creative Work at the UH Honors College. With over 7 years of experience photographing concerts, events, and portraits, I've developed a versatile eye for composition (view my other work here). Additionally, my background in broadcast journalism, having directed, edited, and produced projects for PBS NewsHour's Student Reporting Labs, Houston Public Media, along with my own documentary and short film projects, has deepened my understanding for the art of storytelling through the moving image.
I've been photographing Unit Stills since 2024 where I've been fortunate enough to blend both of my passions for film and photography. I love being able to document the filmmaking process for other fellow filmmakers, while also composing stills that best reflect the project's story and its characters.
